Pykes Creek is located on a tributary of the Werribee River, along the Western Highway. The reservoir provides water for the Bacchus Marsh and Werribee Irrigation Districts, but is also an ideal location for boating and swimming.
The Bostock Reservoir entrance is off Shaws Road, Ballan. The site functions as one of the state's most important drinking water reserves as well as a beautiful location for sightseeing, fishing and having picnics.
